About the event
Step into the gentle rhythm of slow printmaking in this relaxed one-day workshop, where the focus is on enjoying the process of making rather than rushing towards a finished piece.
Inspired by the quieter moments of winter, you'll explore relief printing using simple card printing techniques to create a series of expressive, hand-printed images. Through playful experimentation with shape, texture and layering, you'll discover how beautifully atmospheric prints can be made with the simplest of materials.
Suitable for beginners and those with some printmaking experience, this workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, be creative and spend a day immersed in printmaking. There is no pressure to produce a perfect artwork. Instead, you'll leave with a collection of original prints, fresh ideas and the satisfaction of having spent time making with your hands.
All materials are provided, along with tea, coffee and a festive mince pie to enjoy during the day. You'll also have the opportunity to print your work on the Albion press, adding a special finishing touch to your winter printmaking experience.
