About the event
During this fun one-day workshop, you'll be guided step by step through the process of designing, cutting, and printing a monochrome linocut of an animal of your choice.
Using a photo reference, you’ll be invited to trace, draw, or collage to develop your image before transferring your design onto a print block. You’ll then carve and print your artwork, experimenting with inking techniques to capture the texture of fur, feathers, or scales.
This is a relaxed, friendly workshop that’s perfect for creating a bold and loveable relief print - ideal as a handmade gift or personal keepsake. You'll also take away the skills to continue printing at home.
Your printed image will be 10 x 15 cm, and it will be useful to bring a photo that matches this size if possible.
All materials are provided, including a window mount and cellophane bag for easy gift presentation.

General Admission
Includes the workshop fee, all materials, plus complementary tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day. Please bring a reference photo and if you would like to trace it, make sure it's A6 size. There is a fridge where you can keep a packed lunch, alternatively there is a cafe a short drive away. There is free parking at the studio.
