About the event
Over the two weeks you learn different techniques and embrace the flexibility of this playful way to create exciting textures, marks and layered images. You’ll leave with a collection of striking one-off prints that can be used for a whole host of creations including collage, layering into paintings, card making or simply framed as artworks for your home.
We will cover all the basics including the best paints to use. We will discuss the different types of paper you can print on and how these can be used for combining and layering with other media. You will also explore using stencils and some of the vast array of tools you can use for making textures, from cardboard packaging and bubble wrap to items found around the home. This fun and intuitive way of printing provides endless possibilities!
By the end of the course, you will have all the information you need to keep going at home, as well as links to artists for inspiration. This workshop is suitable for complete novices and also more experienced artists wanting to learn a new technique.
