Weekend Workshop - 2 day Multi Block Linocut at Double Elephant Print Studio

This promises to be a very exciting weekend of linocut!

The multi-block linocut printmaking process involves cutting a separate lino block for each colour of an image and printing them on top of one another to build the picture in layers. This weekend-workshop will be an opportunity to try the process out and get to grips with every stage of the process. On day one you will be introduced to the materials and tools you'll be working with and advised on ways to get the best out of them. We will spend time designing prints and considering the best colours and textures for expressing your idea, before cutting our blocks ready for printing.

On day two you will have a day of exploring colour and printing techniques, with opportunities to try colour blends, ways to add texture and compare different versions of the same print. You will go home with an…
