Service Description

During a one-to-one Linocut Printmaking day, you'll receive half a day's tuition covering a step-by-step approach to making a linocut print (either multi-coloured and abstract, or one colour representational image), with plenty of opportunity to ask any linocut printmaking questions. You are also welcome to bring previous prints your might have made, if you wish to receive advice or constructive criticism of your work. In the afternoon we will work on ideas begun in the morning, transferring images and cutting them before printing them using the hand burnishing technique, or using my beloved Victorian Albion Printing Press, Agnes! By the end of the day I hope you will leave itching to carry on with linocut printing! This experience can be tailor made to suit absolute beginners to relief print, as well as those with some experience. Materials are available to purchase at competitive prices, and you will have full use of my well maintained Pfeil cutting tools. The selected date and time can be changed free of charge so long as the date is at least 4 weeks' away. The recommended time for workshops is 10.30am - 4.30pm, with an hour for lunch. A booking is secured with a non-refundable £50 deposit payable via this website, with the balance required via BACS 4 weeks prior to the painting day.
